Closed-Loop Deep Brain Stimulation for Major Depression (PReSiDio)

Personalized Treatment for Depression
This study will use a personalized approach to brain stimulation as an intervention for depression. This study is intended for patients with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder whose symptoms have not been adequately treated with currently available therapies.
What is Deep Brain Stimulation?
Deep brain stimulation is a surgical procedure that aims to treat neurological disorders by using electrodes to send electrical pulses to specific areas of the brain.
Neuropace RNS System
The RNS neurostimulator is an implanted device that records brain activity and delivers responsive electrical pulses. We utilize this device to modulate brain activity associated with depressive symptoms.
