Andrew Krystal, MD

Dr. Krystal is the Ray and Dagmar Dolby Distinguished Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology, Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Psychiatry, Director of the Dolby Family Center for Mood Disorders, Director of the UCSF Interventional Psychiatry Program and Co-Director of the TMS & Neuromodulation Clinic. He is Board Certified in Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Kristin Sellers, PhD

Dr. Sellers is an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery. She studies intracranial electrical stimulation for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders including major depressive disorder and chronic pain. She works to translate learnings from early stage clinical trials of closed-loop neuromodulation for the development of neurotechnologies and supporting infrastructure.

Ankit Khambhati, PhD

Dr. Ankit Khambhati, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Neurological Surgery at UCSF. He is trained as an electrical and biomedical engineer, and his technical expertise lies at the intersection of network neuroscience, machine learning, and complex systems. Khambhati's research seeks to understand the organization of human brain circuits and how disruption of these circuits give rise to functional brain network disorders.

Elissa Hamlat, PhD, MA

Elissa June Hamlat's research focuses on the prevention and treatment of depression throughout the life span. Her work has documented the pubertal transition as a period of risk and the biological mechanisms by which early life adversity increases risk for accelerated development and aging. She is interested in how the intersection of gender and ethnicity may play a role in these relations. At UCSF, Dr. Hamlat is evaluating how digital tools may augment depression treatment and on increasing health equity for those underserved in mental health care services.

As a Senior Project Manager, I help develop and implement the policies, processes and guidelines that govern the research enterprise in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at UCSF. I also manage special department-wide projects, primarily focusing on faculty affairs. By leveraging my expertise in project management, operations, organizational development and communications, I strive to advance our missions of faculty and research excellence.

Prior to serving in this position, I was Chief of Staff to the Dean of UCSF's School of Nursing.
